Had a wonderful dining experience tonight at Coyotes! Took my mother out for supper, Ed and the rest of the waiting staff made us feel like royalty. Food was absolutely impeccable and came out incredibly timely. I highly recommend the petite surf and turf if you plan on going Monday through Wednesday , or the rack of ribs which as advertised was truly the largest in town and fell right off the bone.

Perfect accommodating service while waiting for flight. Well priced for the North, but the steak sandwich was done perfectly, perfect fries and great salad. I had the best gourmet banana split I've ever had. So...the service was great, the patio in summer very nice, and the food high quality. I added a desert so my bill was higher but you could have a great meal for under 40.

Reasonable pricing, clean dining environment, welcoming waitress, generous portions, good seasoning. Will definitely visit again for its biggest ribs in town

A Fantastic Brunch Experience at Cayote’s Family Steakhouse My family and I recently had brunch at Cayote’s Family Steakhouse in Yellowknife, and we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our experience. We ordered their Steak and Eggs Special, and it did not disappoint. The steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and just the right tenderness. It was also a special moment for our daughter, as it was her first time trying a medium-cooked steak, which was recommended by the owner, Ed. She absolutely loved it, which speaks volumes about the quality and preparation of their steaks. Beyond the food, Cayote’s Family Steakhouse is a great place not only for a delicious meal but also for unwinding with drinks after work. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot to enjoy good food and great company. If you’re in Yellowknife and looking for a spot that serves excellent steaks and other delicious dishes, Cayote’s Family Steakhouse is definitely worth a visit!

We had an excellent dining experience. We started by having the Lobster Bites Supreme. The flavor of these was fantastic, but of course we always more lobster than what they include. We then had the Creole Garlic Prawns which were cooked to perfection. For our main, we had the Buffalo Ribeye done to medium rare. This dish was simply incredible. Finally, for dessert, we had cheesecake which was also very good. Throughout the evening, the staff were excellent. They did not rush us at all, but ensured that they were always attentive to our table. Overall, a wonderful evening.

I had the pleasure of dining here on a trip to Yellowknife. The owner served us and was incredibly hospitable. I was indecisive over two dishes and he graciously met me half-way and offered me a combo of the two. This I am sure is not regular practice but I got it that night. The food...yummy. The atmosphere...cozy and welcoming. Owner...passionate, confident of his dishes and knowledge. He made the experience even better! I would dine here again. I recommend you visit when in town too.

WOW! Just wow! Big restaurant chains could seriously learn a thing or two from this place. From the moment we walked in, Ed welcomed us like royalty — truly the best service we’ve ever experienced. The food? Absolutely incredible. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the attention to detail was next-level. To top it all off, we even received a free welcome gift as newcomers to town — such a thoughtful touch that made us feel truly special. Hands down the best place in Yellowknife. A must-visit if you're in town. Don’t miss it!

So happy to have found this gem! Chef/owner greeted us and right away we felt welcomed and appreciated. He introduced and recommended their speciality and he did not disappoint! We ordered the great slave pickerel (perfectly cooked and seasoned), the rack of ribs (most tender and flavorful), 2 rib eye steaks (juicy and flavorful), French dip (half Caesar salad and fries, delicious). He also recommended the house of special old fashion drinks (). Best meal we had on this awesome northern lights trip!
